Joan Departe will greet you at the gate with a big welcoming smile. Joan is an Inn Keeper extraordinaire. Always willing to visit and chat when you like and she is rich with local knowledge and suggestions for the area's sites and attractions. For us, we struck gold for you see, Joan is a horse owner, rider and lover. For us, having Joan's local knowledge, informing us all about the Burghley Horse Trials was a godsend.
There is room for your car behind the gate.
There is a lovely court yard right outside your room, to sit and sip wine and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.
